Erin Kinahan Ross

Erin Kinahan Ross first became involved with Next Steps after sustaining a T-10 spinal cord injury in 1993. Erin has been a long time supporter, first as a client and now as a member of the Next Steps Board of Directors.
  • When and why did you get involved with Next Steps? In 20a07, I participated in a spinal cord injury recovery program in Detroit. When I mentioned to my physician that I was looking for a similar program in Chicago, he referred me to Next Steps. I made an appointment to see the facility and to meet Jon O’Connor. He had me at “Hello.”
  • What attracted you to Next Steps in particular? I loved Jon’s passion and commitment to provide therapy and searching for a cure. It was instantly evident that all members of the Next Steps family shared the same passion and commitment.
  • Why did you donate/sponsor Next Steps? I want others to have the same great experiences that I have had at Next Steps.
  • In your opinion, what is the most important work that Next Steps does? Next Steps gives people a place to continue their rehabilitation journey.
